“Who’s that lady with a camera?”

Just Fran.

Messy creative, proud “Franma,” and self-proclaimed queen of just one more episode. My life is a glorious mix of family chaos, late-night laughter with my girl gang, and the never-ending battle between my love of secondhand treasures and my dream of a minimalist life (spoiler: Vinted is winning).

In my head, I’m 32. In reality, my knees tell a different story. But that doesn’t stop me from hitting the dance floor like I won’t need two days to recover. My family is my safe place—the first to hype me up and the first to roast me. My friends? The ones I can belly-laugh with until we’re crying, proving that teenage sleepover energy never truly dies.

And then there’s Martyn—my long-suffering husband, and partner in crime, usually in the wings, rolling his eyes and wondering how on earth he’s got roped into another DIY project. In our house, “Martyn, I’ve had an idea…” is his cue to sigh, shake his head, and head to the shed to grab a drill. He knows resistance is futile.

I’m powered by coffee (honestly, I should look into sponsorship at this point). I’ve got a camper van named Bob, an allotment that should be feeding me by now (it’s not), and a soft spot for folk music and sea shanties. But my true obsession? Outlander. Oh, Jamie Fraser (sigh)—the reason I will never, ever have an early night. I tell myself I’ll just watch one episode, but we all know that’s a lie.

So that’s me. A little chaotic, a lot sentimental, and forever chasing the next adventure—big or small, with Martyn begrudgingly assembling something in the background.

My Approach

My style is all about natural, relaxed, and storytelling-led photography. No stiff posing, no forced smiles—just you, your people, and the beautiful, messy, love-filled moments that make up real life.As a Staffordshire wedding photographer and natural family photographer, I capture the genuine connections that matter most—whether that’s the quiet in-between glances on your wedding day, the whirlwind of a toddler refusing to sit still, or the tiny details of newborn snuggles.

My goal? To give you images that you can feel, not just see.
I’ll gently guide you when needed, but mostly, I let things unfold naturally so your photos feel effortless and true to you. And don’t worry—I’m a pro at wrangling kids, charming grumpy relatives, and herding excitable wedding guests (usually with a joke or two along the way).

The whole experience? Easy, fun, and completely stress-free—just as it should be.If you're looking for authentic, heartfelt wedding photography in Staffordshire, or natural newborn and family photography, let’s chat—I’d love to capture your story.

Fun facts about me

Questionable Photography Choices

I once thought selective colour editing (you know, black & white with just the bouquet in colour) was the height of photography. We don’t talk about those days..

Caffeine & Cabernet

Coffee fuels my mornings, but by the weekend, it's a well-earned glass of red. Actually a Malbec but that didn’t rhyme.

Period Drama Enthusiast

I can (and will) binge-watch any period drama—bonus points if it’s got a brooding lead and questionable historical accuracy.

Professional Dog Smiler.

If I pass a dog, I will smile at it (and if it smiles back, day = made)

Certified Tree Hugger

Bit of a hippy at heart—I’ll always stop to hug a tree, and yes, I fully believe they have good energy.

A Short-Lived Busking Career

I once earned a grand total of 68p for busking in Edinburgh. Least said about that, the better.

Want to work with me?

If you’ve made it this far and haven’t run a mile after learning about my tree-hugging, dog-smiling, period-drama-binging ways—chances are, we’ll get along just fine.

I’m all about capturing the good stuff—the real, love-soaked, beautifully imperfect moments that make your story yours. No awkward posing, no pressure, just natural, heartfelt images you’ll actually want to look back on.

Whether it’s your wedding day, the whirlwind of new parenthood, or the beautiful chaos of family life, I’d love to tell your story.
